SRE works like an operating system for a company. Every other area runs better on top of it. I have seen this work in practice: security, governance, FinOps and architecture all get better when they run on top of SRE.
It starts by making the whole environment visible. Problems then turn into numbers you can watch and fix. And now AI agents use that same base to help every team: triage, dashboards, finding money spent on things nobody uses. That is what I write about here.
